ABSTRACT

Learning outcomes: After the case discussion in class, the audience is expected to:▪ Apply the use of management tools in identifying core competencies in the sustenance and growth of a venture.▪ Evaluate the sustainability of the core competencies using relevant tools and frameworks.▪ Assess using relevant criteria whether firms should diversify or not? Case overview/synopsis: The case highlights the experience and obstacles encountered by a Kazakh entrepreneur, Moldakhmetova, who is exploring her long-term business continuity choices. Moldakhmetova ran her own tailoring business, which focused mostly on designing and creating national costumes worn at weddings and concerts. However, she was confronted with a number of obstacles pertaining to the long-term viability of her enterprise, especially with the commencement of the Covid pandemic. The volume of national costume sales was affected by the declaration of the lockdown and restrictions on concerts and celebrations. As the lockdown lifted and orders started to pour in, Moldakhmetova pondered the long-term viability of her business venture. In addition, the availability of inexpensive ready-made Moldakhemetova costumes in Almaty (one of the major cities) made her question whether or not they were her competitors. Thus, Atlas contemplated many choices as potential answers to the question of the enterprise's long-term viability. She was currently faced with the dilemma of selecting the most feasible solution from the possibilities she had identified. Complexity academic level: BBA and MBA programs. ABSTRACT

The extreme pandemic has changed the traveling habit as people are skeptical about traveling through the infection outbreak regions. Therefore, it has become a need to find alternative routes whenever traveling in a city kind of regions. In the current paper, we have proposed a simple yet smart system for predicting the safest route between source and destination amongst other alternative routes. The safest route is with minimum exposure to localities affected by the spread of communicable diseases like COVID-19. It is done by considering different quality measures assuming that there will be available information on the active number of infection cases from the governing authorities. However, the only information taken into account is the location of the confirmed active cases without using any other sensitive information of the patients. The proposed system will help common people while traveling in the pandemic situation. It will also be helpful for the local administration in restricting movement to and from containment zones. © 2021 IEEE.

Methods: Bibliometric methods have been used to analyze global literature on this topic using quantitatively and qualitatively indices from the Scopus database up to 20th September 2021. The keywords related to "Covid-19" and "ophthalmology" are used in search strategy through the boolean operator. Primary data were exported in CSV and BibTxt file format for further analysis using different software. The literature on "Ophthalmic Manifestations of Covid-19" was assessed using a variety of metrics. Results: A total of 3453 publications were published on "Ophthalmic Manifestations of Covid-19", which received 32935 citations, averaging 9.54 citations per paper. Of the total publications, 557 received external funding support and registered 10802 citations. The U.S.A. and India published the most significant number of papers among countries. The U.S.A. and U.K. occupied the top position in international collaborative publications. Medicine and Neurosciences were the most productive areas. The Indian Journal of Ophthalmology is the most productive source. A total of 46 high-cited papers have been identified on this topic, which are published in 35 journals, with the U.S.A. contributing the most papers. Conclusion: In this study, the bibliometric assessment presents a quantitative and qualitative matrix of research in the field "Ophthalmic Manifestations of Covid-19". The study gives proof of the enhanced global collaboration that global researchers have created in order to combat the epidemic. The authors have used various bibliometric metrics and tools to present this study efficiently. This study will be helpful for the scholars who were researching in this field.

ABSTRACT

Background: COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown has disrupted the daily routine and required an adjustment to ʼnew normal’. The psychological impact of ‘lockdown’ as a social distancing strategy among children needs to be studied well. Aim: To assess the psychological impact of ‘lockdown’ on behaviour of children and adolescents. Methods: An online survey was conducted among parents of 3-15-year-old children by using Google Form. A 35-item self-designed questionnaire was used for the purpose of the study. Total 645 responses were received by the stipulated time. Results: The mean age of the children was 8.3 years (± 3.5). Majority of the children were male (51.6%), 1st born child (82.2%), and studying in primary school (44.8%). Near about onethird on the children became irritable (35.3%), hyperactive (33.3%), defiant/ disobedient (38%), anxious (29.9%), and crying often (32.7%) during the period of lockdown. Near about two-third of the children engaged more in mobile phones (63.4%) and watched television (58.1%) compared to their usual self during lockdown. Near about two-third (58.3%) and onethird (32.2%) of the children reported change in their sleeping and feeding habit respectively. Majority of the male (38.7%) and female (42.6%) children coped well with the lockdown. ABSTRACT

During the national crisis, caused by a novel pandemic such as COVID-19 virus infections, people need authentic information to face such a virus. Libraries need to come forward in such a situation as primary sources of trustworthy information by providing rapid and easy access to those seeking authentic information sources. In this crisis, giving Remote Access, Virtual Library, e-resources, Ask the Librarian reference services to the user in real-time and at scale for a range of scientific- and policy-related responses can be very significant to the academic and research community. The present study has collected data from authentic information sources, mainly Government official portals of Indian states such as the MyGov COVID-19, UTs, and National/International agencies, etc. After analyzing and studying the data, the authentic information sources served to the research community are listed out. This paper also highlights the ratio of COVID-19 publications and highly cited publication of the same, using the Scopus abstracting databases. This study is an original research work focused on the roles and responsibilities and actions taken by the Library and librarians in crisis situations. Hence this study will help Librarians, Information Providers, Practitioners, Policy Makers, Researchers, and development activity in this field. © 2020. All Rights Reserved.
